It was a long road, longer than we expected, but Meld Forums is now available for purchase.  The long road was actually mainly in getting the content, documentation and online store available; Meld Forums has been finished for quite a while, and in fact has been running on several websites for months now.

We've got big plans for Meld Forums, far beyond what we think is a really good start in our initial version.  Some of the features you can look forward to, beyond a rounding out of some of the more common requests, are:

• A support edition, that incorporates not only ratings and resolution functions for each thread, but issue tracking, an "unanswered questions" finder, and an integrated knowledgebase/FAQ that managers can push resolved issues into.
• Messaging
• A customizable profile manager, letting managers create a more customized profile

And, for the developers out there:

• API access to customize the look and feel
• A theme manager
• Integration of Mura's new event-driven system to make it easier to customize the look and content of every part of the displayed content
• Widgets, to add custom content and tools to your forums

We'll of course be reviewing the wish lists in the forums too, so don't be shy about posting your requests there as well!
